Recently i have been delivering presentation on Open Source Technology to Various MCA an IT collage of the Gujarat and i was surprised with interaction with them.
What i realized is the student are only Exam orient in my presentation i have included ERP also, and ERP is subject of the Student as their course curriculum and still they are knowing nothing more than the Full form of the ERP and the makes me surprise. Students are not thinking about their future and Just stick to the Exam only.
When they were asked about the Programming language they know they hardly able to list more than five or Seven.
I am not getting that they are afraid of asking Question or they are knowing all thing well in advance, if collage peoples are organizing the events to increase their knowledge they are not taking advantage of the opportunity they are given.
One more interesting result i got is 99% of students only work with Java or .Net technology they are even not thinking for new technology in Market that has been raising.
Like Currently in Gujarat and Specially we have great market of the Android, BalckBerry Programming, iPhone App, Ruby On Rials, Python. Student are not thinking out of the Scope it's like Frog in well.
Well i can;t do anything on this i ahve tried a lot them to inspired in Presentations. If students will not awake than they will never realize where thay are going.
